Meh. This is heading to the DNF for me. I kept at it because it’s for a book club. Can’t do it. It’s just dragging on. First, the secondhand embarrassment was too much, but now? It’s the plot. Lack of substance, excitement and basic expansion of the characters or story has me choosing another book.
Skip this one.
Had this not been a book club read I’d have quit it in chapter two.
