I'm really kinda pumped about this series since the setting is my hometown area. I grew up very near here and know all about the sandbagging while watching the mighty Mississippi rise, hauling out livestock, and hitting your knees in prayer. So, excuse me while I head home for awhile!

Not really reading this. It's the 5th (or something like that) in the series and my OCD won't let me read this one before the others. =P

I like the Brandi Carlile song, The Story, that this book is based on so figure I'll give it a try.

hmmm, an OCD book? Once I start, I'll have to finish....

"Help! My fourteen-year-old daughter has been struck with a horrible disease. Hormones!" HAHA!!! Any book that starts this way deserves a chance.

Seriously, just reading the preview of this book has me laughing. I mean, can't you just see it?!?! Bawhahaha!!!

I KNEW it!!! I'm kind of afraid this book will break the rules. Gotta keep reading.

For the record, my Nook edition shows 800 pages.
