HELLO??? HER BROTHER IS DOING WHAT TO HER???? not only is this pedophilia, it's INCEST??? obviously i understand this is put in the context of 'the narrator is unaware they are being assaulted' and not a 'romanticised' form of assault, but holy shit this scared me

slime out sergio bruh please

i'm having a great time reading this-- this book has a lot of really meaningful connections and i'm glad that he's becoming a better person.

absolutely horrified by what I know is the ending and how we’ll get there???

fuck I am enthralled and exhilarated reading this book— I want to consume them and their flame, and then flood their world.

I’m sorry for my disgustingly lack in faith towards the amplified yearning— I am now VERY invested in their relationship and how Kitt can’t tell her the truth even with everything that’s currently splitting them apart, and I love the direction of Iris’s writing

After volunteering at the library, I loitered for 34 minutes reading this book— also for 34 minutes, I’m honestly proud of 76 pages since I usually read 100 in a hour

I read a bit during class but by a bit— I truly mean a bit, like maximum 9 minutes before we were note prepping. Online friend recommended it so im torturing myself, especially since it’s fantasy.. and they’re enemies but she describes him as handsome immediately.

Wtf

Not intimidated, just annoyed and concerned about the amount of brand names used

chapter 5 right now— headed to a library due to some close-by business and decided to find a book to time myself reading to and in 24 mins I got 43 pages! :D

wait I’ve given this book too many compliments in the first 50 pages— I’m scared, please don’t turn sour… but also yay trans representation!! :D

wait— I was actually really confused whether Becca was actually a girl or the male lead who just looked like a girl from a different angle, but I’m actually really glad that one of the first impactful impressions in the story isn’t the male lead— unlike 90% of the stories who introduce the main love interest in a ‘not-so-subtle-subtle-way’

haven’t had much time today to read, but dang— this backstory was well described and hit hard actually 😭

I’ve just started this book so I don’t stress myself out over finals (and the two other high fantasy plots I’m reading), and I surprisingly LIKE the speaker’s descriptions and way of thinking so far

idk but I think plot would be cooler if scarlet ended up with legend instead 😭

for once in my life, I’m reading paperback instead of digital 🫣

loving this book but gotta pause for a second because I need to read another book 🥹

first 20 pages in / 3 chapters in, bro wiped his bloody hand on bros face and thought he wouldn't wanna fight him
