it feels like it’s being written in a ‘wrong order’? My current theory is that Kathy’s lover is Gabriel, and the woman he saw him kiss was Alicia. And how he is defensive and protective of Alicia is because he knows that she was also wronged ?

this is actually such an intruiging book and it hits my 3 favourite genres, and i'm so giddy reading this mystery thriller set in a HISTORICAL timeline with a smidgen of romance?? Also, i like how much terminology i've had to search up due to it being accurate to its timeline, research was definitely done well while writing this book! :0

maybe i'm not one for slice of life books...

I might dnf solely out of the way that it’s truly not a give and take situation, but an ineffective lifestyle they lead together?

currently in a confused state because you’re in love with him, but you also don’t describe him the way most people in love do, nor think of others in a monogamous way

nothing to do with the book (but it is at a quite satisfactory area) but i find it funny how quickly i can read this book versus how slowly i read ‘The Silent Patient’

fuck, I don’t like reading verse 😭 but I’ll try because the story is unique and I don’t think I’ll find something like this without the versing / versatile position 🥲

I just started reading this, planning on reading in between Silent Patient so I can have a break from thriller whenever I need, but actually this is REALLY GOOD?? The author is extremely good at differentiating who is who in the povs. If she didn’t put whose chapter was whose pov and never disclosed any particular information on who the character was around or their home, it would still be so obvious who was who!
