الآن يستطيع، الساكن السعيد في الكهف، أن ينطلق في الطبيعة وينعم بحريته المستعادة. لكنه يفكر بكل أولئك الذين لا يزالون هناك. لذا يريد أن يعود ليحاول اقناعهم بأن ما يرونه على الجدار ليس إلا ظلالا باهتة لأشياء حقيقية. لكن أحدا منهم لا يصدقه. بل يشيرون بأصابعهم إلى الجدار مصرين على أن ما يرونه هو الحقيقة الوحيدة. وأخيرا يصل بهم الأمر إلى أن يقتلوه.

العدالة عمياء، لا ترى الحقيقة.

وعند ذلك أصبحت فجأة لا أغضب من الناس، بل ما عدت ألاحظ وجودهم.

تعثرت بضوئك
عثرت على ظلي.

إن شجرة البؤس مازالت تؤتِ ثمارها.

والشيء الذي لا شك فيه هو أن أخلاق هذه الفتاة لم تكن مطردة ولا منسجمة ولا ملائمة للمألوف من أخلاق أترابها، وإنما كانت تثب من الرضا إلى السخط ومن السخط إلى الرضا، وربما اضطرت إلى شيء بني ذلك ليس فيه اطمئنان ولا ثورة، وإنما هو قلق متصل، وضيق بكل شيء، وإعراض عن كل شيء.

Humans don't need to decorate themselves in gory make-up and fake blood to be scary. It's the insides of us---the darkness that lurks beneath the surface---that's what truly fucking terrifying.

When you make someone fall in love with the darkest parts of you, there's nothing you can do that will scare them away.
They will be yours forever because they already love all the fucked up bits and pieces of you.

Some days, it's hard to live with. Some days, I can barely stand from the weight of this cruel world resting on my shoulders.

I refuse to turn away from them. That's what most people do when it comes to human trafficking. Everybody knows it exists, and most will educate themselves on how to avoid it, but they can't watch when it comes to tge reality of it. Can't listen. Can't see the depravity. Because if they don't look, then they can go back to their normal lives and live on as there aren't thousands of people out here dying every day.

أيامي حافلة السعادة، كتلك التي اعدها الله لمختاريه، وأيا كان مصيري بعد ذلك، فلن أقول أنني لم أذق طعم الفرح.

الآن وهنا فقط عرفت أنه لم تتح لي ممارسة أكثر أنواع الحياة حياة، لم يتح لي سوى التحرك ضمن إطار خشبي رباعي الأضلاع، بينما تموج الصورة في الداخل بغنى التفاصيل وتنوعها، اكتفيت بالتنقل بين أضلاع الإطار، ظننت أنني أمارس الحياة طولا وعرضا، بينما لم أكن في حقيقة الأمر سوى بائس على حوافها، لم يُلحظ حتى مروره في الطريق ذاته كل مرة.

الوطن ليس وجهة نظر، الوطن لا يعيش في المناطق الرمادية، إما أننا في وطن حر وديموقراطي، أو أننا نعيش في ظلام التخلف والديكتاتورية، وأظنك تعرف تماما.. أين نحن.
