Hit the ground running as usual with these books. Mixture of characters all being introduced. Family member has been murdered so Cross is out for revenge.

Shocking and disturbing story which no doubt has a lot of historical truth

The next book in the Alex Cross Series but a twist. This apparently is a book he has written not a book about him?

Lovely feel good murder mystery with a few twists and turns as we near the end but everything looks to be turning out perfectly for all the good characters 😊

All these characters good or bad have detailed histories! It’s a lot of info but keeps the pages turning..

So far an easy enjoyable read in the vein of a Richard Osman book. Group of older amateur sleuths the local DS and a few interesting backgrounds while people die around them!!

It’s taken a big twist what is the real truth?

Is he being played or not the big question that keeps those pages turning…

Feel like I might have read this book before but can’t remember what happens so ok so far!

I don’t want to think about the truth of this as I really enjoyed it. Being a a similar age, I’m really envious of this amazing life changing adventure . What an experience not worrying about material things just living day to day as one with nature.

After a break they are back on the path and I am glad. Loving the adventure and the landmarks and descriptions are so real….

This book is so beautifully written it’s lovely to read along and imagine you are with the author and her husband but hard to forget the media stories and allegations it’s fiction not fact

What a dreadful hand this couple have been dealt. Feel so much for them and willing them on to a happy ending but know it’s unlikely

Another Book Club recommendation let’s go…

What a wonderful story. Very different to what I normally read but refreshingly so. Complex, many stories interweaving and often hard to follow but then it all comes together and things become clear. what a journey of emotions, horror and murder and tragedy and love stories and in the middle if it all Jackson a very likeable man? I feel like I should probably read it again to fully understand and appreciate it all!

Wow what a tangled web so many characters and trying to keep up and remember who is who is proving quite difficult. Definitely a page turner though

I’m intrigued- 3 case histories all very different what happens next

Recommended by book club let’s see what it’s like…..

Didn’t disappoint kept the suspense going until the very end, tied everything up and hinted at more

Jack has got Rachel back in his life and working the case with him…

Fast pace page turning Michael Connelly at his best

Skim read the second half. Not really my thing and no surprises.

Not my usual type of book. Feels like young adult fiction. Very emotional reading but there is a lot of anger and angst and I have contemplated not going on with it.

Took a while to get into but galloped to a fitting end with a few twists and turns and a hint at another story…

Getting into it a bit more now…bit more happening bit more interesting
