chapter on omnipresence got my head spinning. extension vs entension. entension vs pertension. wholly located vs entirely located. pertend vs entend vs spanning vs multi location (or non-maximal location), vs intersection. I have never had to grasp so many new concepts at once as working definitions just to understand the rest of the chapter @.@

feels good getting back into this universe

I was surprised how many pages were dedicated to divine simplicity but it makes sense as it’s one of the few doctrines that Dr Craig hasn’t written other full-length books on. But I really appreciated it since I never really delved deeply into it either. I especially liked how the history of the doctrine was traced from the early church fathers like Augustine, to Maimonides and Ibn Sina, to Aquinas.

really appreciated be distinction between what scriptures teaches about the doctrine of scripture (which at first seems circular), versus what epistemic justification we have for believing in scripture. one is a matter of systematic theology, and the other is an apologetical question. but if you already take scripture to be authoritative of course you want to know what it teaches about itself! so eye opening!

I fear this series might become a new hyperfixation
