I had a week off from reading, back on it now!! This book is great btw.

Bang!! A chunk done.

The variation on what historians will say regarding the human race is kind of wild. An example being the enlightenment period and the “Eurocentricity” of that. More to come 🤞

Early human history, not that interesting. Now I should soon be coming up to the last 4000 years, FAR more interesting, less fossils and guess work.

Terrified of reading this via audiobook.

Books with such big words may need a Google or two to understand.
A full 24hr read.

I have touched upon 30mins so far and it has been reader friendly and full of sarcasm. I like this.

I keep telling myself, this will end soon.

Slow going. It’s interesting, really highlighting the hill we need to get ourselves up. At the same time it’s far too “both sides”, not calling out Bill’s “peers” when it really should be.
“Changes on policy” is a phrase I never want to hear again.

Listening to the audiobook. Bill Gates reads chapter one himself, and speaks on the journey he went on to begin this book. Wil Wheaton will be welcomed from this point forward.

Star Wars!!!!
Learning how unhinged a character truly is in this one. Wonder if they’ll actually act on it.

Not sure what to read after this one. I think it reaches a hiatus. Back to the Wylds??? Maybe… 🤔

This is part 4 of the X Wing series and came out in 1997.

The way gender and pronouns are talked about, and the emphasis on how important both are is really hammered home. Facts are presented and accepted by everyone, not just that but characters take the time to understand both and are positively acknowledged when doing so.

My love for Star Wars grows with each book. This stuff matters!

Dare I say…. A filler book in the series. Still good though

Book 3/4 and feels like a part two to the second book rather than a separate book.

I now know what the phrase Telbun means in Star Wars, very Handmaids Tale. Not something you’d expect to find in Star Wars.

Stackpole is definitely a bit more saucy in his writing than other Star Wars authors; collarbones, jawlines and everyone has a level of attractiveness.

Having heard the characters be introduced, I think I know what happens. I, Jedi may have included the odd spoiler for this. However, book 2 is the Big Read in this series for me.

Just a short warm tale or two before I take on a bulk read with Star Wars. So far, homely and warm is the feeling; despite murder.

Back into Star Wars!! I have theories about what this book will contain, looking forward to see if I am correct.

I’ve kind of fallen in love with some of the characters now. Certain people’s charms are truly shining, if you read it you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about. The humour is now hitting too as the characters have been expanded upon, playing into their personalities well.

Really enjoying the humour now.

A compelling villain has been revealed. I’m interested to see how it all pans out already, and who comes out on top. The plot is laid out, complications are being foretold, and the past is expressing itself in the present. Old warriors are going to have long pasts to draw from, and that is being used well. My worry is the predictability… time will tell.
