entered a reading slump for a couple weeks but back into it. i like the surprising aspect of climate change that is present in the plot, as well as the revealed familial trauma that explains the characters behaviors

“Grief is selfish: we cry for ourselves without the person we have lost far more than we cry for the person”

interesting thought

love it. the pov of present day vs. miri’s grieving memory of who leah once was. the pov of leah as we slowly uncover what happens to her in the depths of the sea. great descriptions and lyrical imagery

i just can’t get into it.

very slow read. i keep stopping to write down quotes and think. though it takes some digestion, it is a good book for my existential soul

rly enjoyable, can’t put it down. i like how it switches between the End times and the Before and also her family memories. i also like how there’s no quotation marks so you really feel like you’re in Candace’s head.

well this took a turn. deeply disturbed. wanted to puke for that last stretch

rly good, page turning. much more sad than i thought it’d be.

my new fav book? so good
