I get where the book is set and the vibe that a lot of these stories lean toward, but find it funnily ironic that a kid puts on a MAGA hat with pride while him doing so implies that Trump is the president, which means that there’s a good chance that that moron is responsible to some degree for the negative events happening in the book

It feels like the author can’t decide whether to make Isabella a damsel in distress of a badass. I’m getting whiplash from it
