cried

what a freaking book
class divide, narcisstic parenting, guilt, childhood innocence, absolute depression, it’s got it all

it’s going a bit slow but so far it’s so intriguing

i already know it’s 5 stars

so amazing

i will read east of eden after this bc peak and i have time i suppose more than usual but then after I NEED TO GO BACK TO HOGWARTS

this book is so good tho i will miss this duology world

ohhh my goaoad

BARTHOLOMEWWWW

omg angsty
see ofc it’s not gonna be as good as the first let’s be honest but it’s sooo good in its own way
and her writing is just so enjoyable i can’t wait to read whatever else she writes genuinely

i feel like the experience reading the first one was lowkey better but this one’s also interesting i just need to binge the whole thing in one sitting icl given time

it’s just less mythological and whimsical so im waiting for it to come in bc i know it will eventually
meskeen sibyl

soo THAT just happened 😄

the story and world is so good yaya

just suchhh a vibeee man

i could binge this for hourssss

god i missed her writing and bartholomew🥹 i only read this for bartholomew i won’t even lie

the sixties
happiness happinessss
lentils lentils??
flowers lalalalaaaa

hatchling is rly relatable
some of these stories are so interesting and some of them are so ass this is why short stories are so annoying bc i never know how to feel abt the book😓

it’s just weird but it’s sayaka murata so what can u expect

maybe i liked convenience store woman bc it was the cutest and most wholesome but tbf short stories just aren’t my thing even dostoevskys

it’s the girl from earthlingssss

makes me wanna read meiko kawakami so bad

omg ew ew ew squish it

it’s a bit peculiar and idk the short story style makes it slightly less peak than convenience store woman or earthlings but i love sayaka murata so bad my queen

and i wanna read vanishing world so bad that one’s a proper novel i think but these short stories are giving mad junji ito vibes

i feel like a kid again

i dont rly gaf abt the astronomy era the beginning of the book was lowk better but ill still give it 5 stars bc all in all its actually a rlyy good book feels like a movie or rly deep story

it’s sooo magnificent century

almost halfway i wanna get to maybe 300 idk if its possible, 3050 by tmr at least bc i have a french test then biology test oh my godddduhhh

bruh i’m not finishing this shit this month maannnn

omggg i’m reading so slowly i’ve wasted so much time i rly don’t know if i can finish this now this month but i must genuinely idc abt the consequences FUCK

so good no time
story of my life

it’s js soo deep idk how i thought i could finish it in this time honestly i can but i need to read like 50 or more pages a day at this rate dammit i have still 300 left

it’s actually so addicting i can’t stop

it’s rly good so far and very easy to read actually i love it vibes are immaculate it’s literally historical

it’s the same as that one drama abt hurrem

it’s rly good but very much to process it’s not a easy simple read tbh might be a bit harder to finish in 10 days than i thought

it’s very short i thought i could finish it in one day but im terribly sidetracked

dammit
