Finished Same as Always by Yūka Satō. 4.75/5 – really well-written little story about a mother who wants to kill her baby.

Finished Planting by Aoko Matsuda. 3.5/5 – A very strange story that made little sense, it was well-written however.

Finished Weather-Watching Hill by Kazumi Saeki. 3.75/5 – pretty good story, hard to follow and not completely clear at times.

Finished UFO in Kushiro by Haruki Murakami. 4/5 – really well written and engaging story but lacking in something.

Finished Pink by Tomoyuki Hoshino. 5/5 – a truly beautiful story.

Finished American Hijiki by Akiyuki Nosaka. 2/5 – I didn’t like the writing style, over all a bit too long, somewhat entertaining at times though.

Finished The Silver Fifty-Sen Pieces by Yasunari Kawabata. 4.5/5 – a interesting but very short well-written story.

Finished Insects by Yūichi Seirai. 5/5 – beautifully written and intriguing story disguising the bombing of Nagasaki, sin, love, lust, age and religion.

Finished Hiroshima, City of Doom by Yōko Ōta. 5/5 – harrowing yet informative account of the dropping of the first atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima.

Finished General Kim by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa. 4.75/5 – a very good little historical tale.

Finished The Great Earthquake by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa. 4.5/5 – an incredibly short story but well written with an interesting topic and theme.

Finished Kudan by Hyakken Uchida. 4/5 – just an interesting little story, ending was abrupt and disappointing.

Finished Filling up With Sugar by Yūten Sawanishi. 4.75/5 – a truly beautiful little story with an incredibly unique and interesting concept.

Finished Hell Screen by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa. 4/5 – a contemporary story set in medieval Japan, enjoyed it mostly.

Finished Shoulder-Top Secretary by Shin’ichi Hoshi. 4/5 – a very short story, but interesting.

Finished Dreams of Love, Etc by Mieko Kawakami. 3/5 – not a bad story, a little strange at times, not particularly encapsulating.

Finished Factory Town by Minoru Betsuyaku. 4.75/5 – great little story about the absurdity of capitalism, industrialisation and consumerism.

Finished Mr English by Genji Keita. 4.75/5 - I really enjoyed this story and indeed the character Mogi.

Finished Closet LLB by Kōji Uno. 4/5 – a fun little story about a very sorry man.

Finished Cambridge Circus by Motoyuki Shibata. 4/5 – an interesting little story that I enjoyed.
