Having a hard time thinking of any reasons why this isn’t my new favorite novel i’ve ever read. It’s kind of a blowout but also is very whelming. Like it’s always been there or something. Don’t get me making 4th dimension references now

Doing a chapter a day (2 down) and I’m pretty into it. I struggled my ass off trying to read this and understand it in my American Lit class in high school, but there were a couple things I took from that teacher. One of them was the “keep your hands off the lever” line, and the interpretation of Nick and Mr. McKee’s rendezvous. Forbidden romances. Spectacle, and the prison of seeing, but never being. 👍
