I was having a bit of a hard time getting into the story but now that I’ve made it a good bit of the way through, I’m really invested. I know things will all end happily and all will be well, but I’m really interested in seeing how things play out.

I know I’m supposed to really like Lily Dale and think she’s the greatest creature to walk the planet, but to be honest rn I think she’s one of Trollope’s weaker heroines. I’ll always be a Lucy Robarts stan, and Lily is certainly no Lucy. I do rather like Johnny Eames, he’s a little stupid about Amelia, but I like him very much after all.
