Surprisingly my least favorite book of the three. While I think we can all agree that the finale of the ring’s story makes for a great conclusion, I personally was bored by how much went on after the “conclusion”, and, hate me, I don’t care about Aragorn.
Still a fantastic story and I’m grateful Tolkien gave us this masterpiece.

I’m trying so hard not to DNF this, but after reading the 9th or 10th unhappy ending I am afraid to get to the actual ending

But I’m so glad I did

I honestly cannot explain why I love this series so much. I can think of multiple things I don’t like about the books, but still as I read them I am sooo invested, emotional, and satisfied through all stages. And I’m not even halfway through this one?
