Tbh Jonathan Harker got himself into this mess by not paying head to locals warning him of danger. Like to hear 200 different locals all say “I would not go there if I were you” and think “wow the locals Sure Are Superstitious!” is damn near asking for it. Also it took him 60! Days! To try crawling out the window!!

Another between-heavier-reads audiobook; this one is a hardy boys style murder mystery but the main characters are lunch ladies that’ve been in a domestic partnership for 40 years, and the setting is a sleepy little English hamlet

Fun tidbit— there are over 20 different voice actors on the audiobook

Audibly gasped when the thing that was foreshadowed happened, also this was supposed to be silly fun with an overtone of feminism but it’s made me nearly cry three times and actually cry once?? Is that a personal failing Maybe but also I keep stumbling into grief narratives

Was a bit overzealous with the Libby audiobook borrowing so I may or may not still have 16 hours of audiobook to get through in the next 10 days YES three people are waiting on me I’m trying my best

That said really liking this so far (my undergrad linguistics minor and I both knew I would)
