The relief I felt when I saw this book “ended” when only being “63%” through. I haven’t been loving this book and I felt like it was LONG!! Now the author says that I can just be finished with the book and I am so tempted because I am mentally checked out, but I am not a DNFer! So now I had to suffer through Jaime’s POV I guess…

Have already read a lot of interconnected standalone books by this author that were published more recently so know the characters already but it’s fun learning about their meet cute!

There should really be a trigger warning for when authors kill off dogs… This part was totally uncalled for!!! Now even more mad that I didn’t DNF this book! 😭😭
