I’m having a tough time finishing this book and it’s my fault completely. I saw the movie first so I was comparing this in my head the whole way. I’ll read it through and maybe it’ll pick up with me! It is a very cute story with a romcom undertone.

Like everyone else, I was incredibly frustrated with Belly at times but she is so young! I’m team Belly and give her every grace to make mistakes. I read all three books back to back so it was easy to continue on with the story and of course, I loved it all. Jenny has a way of making you (me) feel like a younger girl again but still sympathetic to these characters. I love Conrad and I love how he loves Belly!

Okay I’m retracting my previous comment! This book is so good and I feel for Mary! It really creeps up on you (no pun intended). I think because I’m used to thrillers and this is more horror, it’s a slower read but the genere really hits you. I find myself nervous after reading it, without realizing. I can only compare it to when Haunting of Hill House first came out and everyone said they had nightmares after

INCREDIBLE. I have no words besides wow!

This book was a bit slow until about 10 pages in and I was in tears at the explicite detail. The way Karin describes the occurrences is so fucked up but oh so incredible. I was imagining every bit in my mind as a movie. I’ve heard so many good things about this author and her stories and I believe it all. I need to read it again to take everything in.
