JFC, it’s been over a year since my last update on this book. After finishing FF4, two spin-off games were up next…. I didn’t think it would take me that long to finish them, and the first one didn’t take long at all. The second, on the other hand, took me ages. But I got it done, as well as FF5. The dialogue in this game is quite funny, and I really enjoyed the job classes. Onward to FF6!!

Ugh… took me more than 2 months to finish this game when I only clocked 38 in-game hours. Honestly?? This is my fourth attempt to play FFIV to completion, and it is just not my cup o’ tea (but I finally did it, thank God!!). I’m blaming it on that my first encounter with it was as an adult rather than a kid in the early 90s on the SNES, which is why it is so nostalgic for so many FF fans. On to FFV!!

FF3 down!! Playing the Pixel Remaster(a faithful 2D remaster of the original Japanese version) after only ever having played the 3D remake of FF3 was… a strange experience, to say the least. I prefer the story of FF2 over FF3, but I enjoy the game mechanics and job system of the latter a lot more. However, the four main characters have no name, background, or personal details in FF3 PR. A surreal experience!!

FF2 down!! While I don’t particularly enjoy the game experience progression system and lack of jobs in this game, I definitely prefer its story to FF1. And I feel like this title gets a lot of undeserved hate… anyway, on to the next one!!

So I’m attempting my Year of Final Fantasy challenge (again… don’t @ me) and I’ll be reading each chapter as I finish the corresponding game. FF1 down!! Side Note: consider this my official notice that I am indeed a giant nerd. :)
