lovingggg this so far. it’s written with an interestingly disaffected tone, so even though the subject matter and story are deeply emotional and dramatic, it doesn’t FEEL that way throughout. v v cool book.

Have made it to book 3, which I am enjoying a lot more than 1 and 2! Book 1 was interesting and I really enjoyed it, book 2 I near-hated and truly wanted it to end, and book 3 is redeeming itself the longer I read it. Yanagihara is quite good when she’s not trying to tell stories about queer men suffering with no resolution <3
