15% (and counting) of playing the “I’m too scared to cross the line” game is so childish to me. Mind you, mc is an outspoken woman in her mid 30s…

So this book would’ve been a solid 5 stars for me but our chosen couple have been doing the “I’m too scared to cross the line” dance for the last 15%. Of course, they need time to adjust and find a comfort zone but knowing both characters are on the same page yet CHOOSE to be chicken is quite freaking tiring and useless.

My first annoyance with this book is the constant talk about the demolition any time Rosie sees Jane especially considering she’s simply doing her job. Jane’s mentioned how she has no interest in her father’s company and wants to be a full time author, can’t Ro be a little more mature about this?

I’m enjoying this book so much! The only annoying thing is Odette forcing her ‘dislike’ too much, so much so that’s it’s making me cringe at instances. I get the trope of being against it and blah blah blah but enough is enough. A little “hard to get” is always cool but self sabotage really isn’t very girly pop of you bae!

Found this book randomly on kindle unlimited, it’s intriguing and somewhat charming but also confusing as heck. I also don’t feel much chemistry between the mc and her love interest tbh. I don’t know how I feel about this book yet
