Ok. Lots of detail and interesting themes but overall dense and boring at times.

Loved this- listened with Dia and was great intro to historical fiction for her

Love and forgiveness. What a tangled story but the characters are memorable and the end and so many lines were great. Got lost in the details and didn’t love the adultery and abandonment but overall enjoyed this book.

Loving it so far

Fun read, great one liners had me laughing out loud. Loved the perspective of life, love, family and faith through a teenage boys eyes in the south in 1906. Loved the characters.

Happy sad broken hopefully all the emotions w this book. Love that Kristin Hannah can create characters and places that feel so real and relatable I’m sad when the story is over even when it’s hard. Very real themes with PTSD, domestic violence, and so much trauma.

Overall good mystery. Kept me guessing til the end. Main character was a dodo and most was not plausible but still entertaining.

Finished and I enjoyed it overall. It took a while to get going but then I was in the story. I liked the main character and her independent spirit and the water and underlying story too.

It was good maybe bc I like Greek mythology but bc I just finished Circe it’s being compared to that and it’s not on the same level. Good story with important important issues but maybe bc she was so young it felt a little juvenile.

Easier reading than the previous Greek myths I read by Madeline Miller but still fun and very interesting.

Loved all of it. Not as much as the song of Achilles but still fantastic. Storytelling and myths, so good.

I can’t pinpoint what I didn’t like about this book except that the narration annoyed me. I liked the story, it kept me guessing and was even scary at times. Maybe I would have liked it more if it was from the female perspective. I didn’t like the main character so it made it hard to get completely into it.

Kept going back for more. Don’t usually love romance but I liked the story. It was super sad though.

Loved it. Didnt get it at first but like the story unfolding through the letters. Loved the characters and how everything came to light. So happy with the ending too.

Loved it. Learned, cried, laughed and was so inspired by these women and their stories.
