Usually by the middle of a book things are picking up the pace and moving the story along but Conform seems to be almost stalling out at this point. The world building and character introductions that really needed to happen in the beginning were quickly skipped over and now the author seems to be wanting the reader to have an attachment for very flat characters and a thin plot.
