Odd numbers of acts in drama appear everywhere. No front matter in my edition. I fear that the book will be a drag. Story is much more in the protagonist's mind than in external action. I get to the end of Chapter Six where I think, "My! Now something's really happened!" I look down to the bottom of the Kindle screen. 22% One-fifth.
