Incredible so far. Love a space opera. I love when a book’s first chapter throws you off the deep end (genuine). You just have to swim through the unfamiliar concepts and words, gambling it’ll all come together if you keep reading.

Gave up halfway through. Boring and also violent? Characters I do not understand at all. Don’t recommend.

Hating this so far. Boring AND uncomfortably violent. Told my hometown bookstore owner my negative thoughts and they were greatly offended.

Pretty violent but great story telling so far. Don’t love but could be convinced.

I think I’ll truly toss it now. I tried. I nearly made it.

I didn’t know until I came across the mug shots and then I went back to read the foreword (which I never read)

I might actually straight up recycle this book. Total gibberish. Nonsense.

Blah this book is ridiculous. It’s like reading 20 stories, but one paragraph from each at a time. By the time you return to the 20th story you are really confused.

Also there is a talking omniscient dolphin named Howard ? Not yet explained.

This book is killing me. I want to like it, I want to make progress, I want to be capable of reading an intense book. But yet, I struggle. It’s basically gibberish with plot buried underneath. You have to slog through pages of descriptive nonsense to try and find the actual storyline. I think I’ll keep with it for a while longer.

Incredible. Complex. Well written. I can’t wait to move to part II.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that what I know and have learned up until picking up this book is not even close to the real history. A detailed year-by-year history of the United States with an objective, curious author leading the way.

Read this every time I am home for the holidays. Truly excellent.
