The way the system crushes the people of Cuba is iridescent of the US carceral system. Many parallels to consider

So many thoughts, this is such a hauntingly beautiful look into so many of the roots of queer man culture, latin American authoritarianism, US imperialism, and most importantly cycles of power. I have to say im amazed and saddened by this book. Has to be one of the most important reads Ive had in years

I will allow no slander on pacing or continuity of this book bc this man was actively dying while writing this compelling autobiography

Omfg this mans life just started off CRAZY, im so sat

This book is lowkey killing my motivation to try and become a writer😭

But also this is taking such a microscopic lens to what it means to have an active social media presence, and the pressures/ woes that are associated with such a profession that is so public facing that its immensely vulnerable

Im tired of this🤡

BROOOOOO, i hate this bitch so much, r. f. Kuang youre a genius because this character is so unlikeable and she clearly doesnt care about her “friends” literary work at all, shes shitting all over it. Im so intrigued i dont want to put it downnnn

I need shane to stand up, hes really embarrassing me. Im just speedjng through this now to start my next batch of books

Meh the shows better

Ah yes finally yaoi time again

Maldita sea, esta locura

Super fun read otherwise though

Damn not there finally being SOME development

Damn its always gay men being sexist, bc why is there so much hatred towards women? Its giving (AND IS) closeted insecure man

I really think this will be my last period time piece. The manner of speech and characters are bleh
