The first book his “paradise” was following his lover just to *supposedly* be used… the second book his “paradise” was leaving to be with his son which *supposedly* was death… I’m starting to get the theme here :(

It seems like Hanya was using alternate histories (1893, 1993, & 2093) to examine fundamental human desires and fears, questioning whether true “paradise” is ever attainable or if we are doomed to repeat past mistakes.
