Resumed late last evening. Time to refamiliarize myself with the story.

Pausing here to start a book I picked up from the library today.

Up through this point, Miss Marple has played only a bit part.

Enjoying the book more than the movie.

Started off slow - has picked up intrigue - rather well done - hope it stays this good - something sinister going on.

pg. 51 - comment made by Elias Gray - a local farmer and dowser who contributes his dowsing revenue to first responder agencies --
"The Lord gave me a talent," he says, "and I share it the way I'm supposed to. If I were meant to be rich, the Lord wouldn't have made me a farmer."

I'm revisiting my collection of Catherine Aird mysteries. This one, an audio book, has always been one of my favorites. I think the narration by Robin Bailey (God rest his soul) is the best narration I've ever listened to.

It has been such a long time since I read this book the first time. I must have liked it because I 'discovered' it was still lingering on one of my many shelves. I don't remember much about the book and I'm approaching it with eager anticipation.

Thoroughly entertaining!

With the assist from reading Jan Rice's review of this book I truly believe it could surpass my favorite novels set in the realm of academe. Up to this point my favorites have been Stoner by John Williams and The Department of Rare Books and Special Collections by Eva Jurczyk. Get ready to step aside if things keep going in the same direction.
