The ending feels so close yet so far. It feels like the final act yet there's still so much to happen, like everything will suddenly unravel and I'm sure it'll be amazing...

Towles will take any opportunity to show the fact that he's will read. Sometimes you can't go one page without a reference to some classic. Also gotta love seeing a child mature throughout the book Sofie is like my child at this point xd

You know it took me like 650 pages to get really invested, you never know where the book will go next. Well actually I was invested in the first arc on the chateu d'if but got lost at the time skip, took a while for everything to click in place for me.
