Octavia Butler is such an amazing author

They did clean it up and now I understand that two thing can be true at once

I’m sending they have a strange obsession with Vin but she does seem to have something extra along with her allomancy

I understand love but at the same time these have been oppressors for centuries surely the hate would be stronger but I’ll guess I’ll see how this ends

The author has done an excellent job portraying the effect Regan’s parents had on her as well as her acknowledgement that Marc knows she is dependent on him

Starting to see the main characters interact more like a traditional romance. Still seeing their personalities peak through in their conversations.

Really enjoying the character interactions. This seems very unconventional from other romances I’ve read in terms of characters they seem so interested and I’m excited to learn more about them

Really enjoying the way the magic system is being explained. Excited to see how it’s applied in the story

Enjoying the description of the republic rally getting a feel for how the society operates

I’m thinking that Killian is a vessel for Karakos and Gorganas vessel is trying to kill him by killing his vessel

The imagery is so good. And the different perspective of the citizens really shows the effect that the royal family has had on their people

Very powerful imagery living. And the fading of perspectives really make it feel like a story is being told

Incredibly immersive already really interesting to have so many perspectives from the ruling family to the ones most affected by their rule

Something is going on the group is acting very suspicious

Odd discrepancies in the groups behavior and a comment about a song that bunny sang that should have made the group have a visceral reaction

Omg I was not expecting every character to be connected but it was done extremely well

Already noting the hypocrisy of the fulcrum and the people of Yumenes and how they treat the orogenes and I was shocked that they breed them in an effort to control them but in the grand scheme of things it makes sense

I love the dynamic that the royal families and kingdoms they really emulate the way they are in real life

So whichever pantheon the godly parent is in affects the demigods powers

All vampires crave the thing they desired most at their death I assume Lucy is always craving love
