I couldn’t finish! Loads of lengthy definitions (‘their’ definitions) of basic words like Empathy and so many referenced studies and quoted specialists and referencing her past books… it started to go around in circles and was wordy… amazing nuggets here and there but not enough to continue reading 🫤

This book, this person who wrote it, is all that is Good and persevering and hopeful and strong and humble and gracious and smart and kind and loving. My goodness. Hard to put into words the lovely and kind energy I feel reading this book. What a beautiful spirit, John Lewis. Thank you.

This terrorist situation does not seem plausible or sufficiently explained nor do the hostages seem appropriately concerned. The developing relationships and side stories are mildly interesting. I'm guessing that the ending circumstance/s will be shocking. There's a sleepy quality to this book so far.

Slow read for me...intricate and detailed, keeping my interest though...
