What is the best Jane Austen book to read first? I’ve never read any of her works before and I’m looking for one that’s easiest to understand with the most engaging plot, preferably on the shorter side. Thanks!

SO. GOOD.

I don’t like how much Nancy lies in this version of the series

Rereading one of my absolute favorite books. Originally, I thought I rated this a five star merely because it was about spies, but now that I’m rereading it, I can see the masterful storytelling element of this book. I love how diverse the characters are and I’m especially a fan of one of the characters being smart but struggling with school (relatable!!). I’m learning about spies and world history too!

Reads like a young kids book but it’s cute!
