Oof! I really need to brush up on my Insular languages. I’m so at a loss when I’m reading the Gaelic. But I just know it sounds so beautiful. I might have to make a read-along guide for it. But I’m liking this one so far.

So, I’m pretty sure she’s doing with the plot device what I think she’s doing by this point. And when I first suspected it a hundred pages back, it kind of bothered me, because I felt it was predictable. But honestly, the story is so charming and she weaves the narrative in such a way that I don’t think I really mind now. And I think that’s a good testament to her skill as a writer.
