reading for a class! decent so far, not much plot happening

ok so i’m done and i am putting this here but i need to spend like an hour writing a review for this bc it was so good oh my god

really enjoying it so far!!

i've read all that is required for my class but i 100% intend on reading the rest of this book. adrienne maree brown is such an incredible writer and i'm so intrigued by the way she approaches difficult subjects. her writing is truly the perfect mix of prose and poetry. would definitely recommend this book! next on the list of her books is pleasure activism :)

reading this for my wgs class and absolutely loving it!!

lowkey considering dnf-ing the book, at least for now. i fear it has not gotten any more interesting and is quite a long book to commit myself to

exquisite book. love me some fourth wall breaking and ofc the iconic murder mystery!

i fear the book has not gotten better

i keep telling myself to continue reading bc it’ll get better but there’s just so much random side plots and almost nothing is happening in the main plot

normally i enjoy switching between perspectives in a book, but there’s like 5 in this and that’s way too much. yes the characters are linked but imo its just lazy writing, switching between so many characters. i shouldn’t feel like i have to keep notes of how everyone is related 😭

surprisingly not enjoying it as much as i though i would, given it’s a pretty popular book
