after reading chapter 22, stephen king i got nothing to say but tf did i just read 🤨
- The Cosmic Turtle, Creator of the Universe?? ik you were high writing IT but this is a whole other level of insanity...
- eddie's death scene... WTF you can't just leave us with that cliffhanger!!! i waited over 1000 pages for you to kill him before he could confess his love?!
- regarding the *ahem* "sewer scene" - just NO

chapter 21 is gearing up for the big showdown! two things:
- with the kids, i like how eddie's the group navigator... i just think that's super cute <3
- with the adults, i don't like how mike is too injured to defeat IT with them; i think that was done better in the movies how he got to participate (even though he got minimal screen time elsewhere)

chapter 20 taught me that all men suck. fuck al marsh. fuck henry bowers. fuck tom rogan. i am praying for audra and mike and eddie to be okay 🙏🏼

side note: i was not a fan of bill and bev's affair - benverly > billverly any day. plus my guy was cheating on his wife (who was IN TOWN) while an escaped mental patient (possessed by IT) was running around town trying to kill his best friends with a knife 🔪

19 chapters in and we're FINALLY getting into the good stuff. by that i mean the gore. henry attacking mike and eddie was crazy and creepy and i am here for it!! (i almost forgot it was a horror book until this moment so i guess i'm the biggest clown of all) 🤠

in chapter 18 i love how literally everyone is crushing on bev (ben even goes as far to compare her to marilyn monroe)... everyone except for eddie... but SK did say eddie's like anthony perkins (maybe in more than just looks hmm...?)

done with chapter 17 and happy pride to reddie!! 🏳️‍🌈 and apparently patrick hockstetter isn't just psychotic but also bisexual?? (lol mostly psychotic tho)

May 31, 2025: done with chapters 15+16! plus happy 40th anniversary to the losers defeating pennywise!

May 28, 2025: done with chapter 14! and happy 40th anniversary to mike's six phone calls (even if it did kill stan the man) and reunion of the losers club!

as of chapter 13 (ROCK WAR!!!) the losers club is officially complete! XD

as for the "three uninvited guests," i feel like the movie was fine without tom or audra coming back. it would've added a whole other plot point which there frankly wasn't enough time for (i mean, it was already 3 hr long!!!) and who knows, maybe they're in the supercut? speaking of which - MR. MUSCHIETTI WHERE IS THE IT SUPERCUT WE'VE BEEN PROMISED FOR YEARS NOW??? 😡

i actually prefer eddie and richie's "walking tours" in the movies; imo they added more to their character development. for ben, the school scene from the movie was just straight-up sad, so it would've been cool to see the library scene from the book come to life (with pennywise turning into dracula). bev’s on-screen scene was freaky as hell with the naked grandma - but ngl shit got weird in the book as well...

it was interesting to compare the events of chapters 10, 11, & 12 to those in it chapter 2. while reading the book, i had many thoughts, but just one question - WHY ARE ALL THE LOSERS SO FREAKING CHILL ABOUT STAN DYING?!?! 😭
