I barely know what's going on.

Wtf is this book?

She was fond of her children in an uneven, impulsive way. She would sometimes gather them passionately to her heart; she would sometime forget them... Their absence was a sort of relief, though she did not admit this, even to herself. It seemed to free her of a responsibility which she had blindly assumed and for which Fate had not fitted her.

I'm not sure if I've ever encountered a character in fantasy that has as good of an arc as Malta.

nothing wrong with this only my library loan is ending and this isn't compelling enough to make me binge listen nothing but this for my 2 days left.

If it had been two days earlier, her argument would have sounded to my ears like some heathen talk. But compared to atheism and homosexuality, women's rights didn't seem wuite so outrageous.

1) this book is great 2) audio is especially so as it is a woman telling her story.

Ever have a book that you love immediately? This one feels like that.

DNF@ 25% This is oddly compelling in an awful sort of way but I'm finding it tiring. I don't care.

That section was even worse than I expected it to be but also better in an entirely unexpected way.

I'm almost scared to go into Tina's section.

Considering how often I forget I'm reading this, it's clear I'm not enjoying myself and don't care to continue. Nothing necessarily wrong with it and I generally like 'weird' books but I'm not finding this compelling. DNF at 33%

The amount of times I almost yell "fuck your church", while listening to this book.

Not vibing with the audio narrator for Pierre. And the content is odious, I don't want to be in his head.

DNF at 10%, I get yearning but I'm tired of listening to it. She captures teenage angst very well, unfortunately it's really annoying.

I started this on audio simply out of curiosity with the expectation of a quick DNF. Instead this book is like crack. The Josh chapters are fucking hilarious. It's like he's a horny alien learning how to be human.

Get rid of this dipshit dude.

I cannot emphasize how much I don't give a shit about Brad. More wolverines instead, please. I don't understand the "I think it's over" thing.
