About to begin the final chapter. God I’ve been reading this for months and i can’t stress how vivid the symbolism is. Every page is so eye opening and it releases a flood of dream images that transport me back in time. It feels so strange to be near the end but I know I’ll never put this one to rest. I can flip through and see when my annotations turn from highlighter, to sticky notes, to blue pen, then red.

Such a pleasure it is to be gently let into someone’s mind. It’s such a surreal thing to see how devastation and joy permeate someones train of thought.

Great so far although I think I’m expecting too much of a stone door situation

On separatio now, but this is incredibly enriching. The sublimatio chapter alone has brought me unforgettable realizations about myself. I can’t imagine what the final chapters have to offer me

This book has such a large scope and there’s so many beautiful scenes. I’m currently in the part about the crimes, and the best way to describe it is as if you’re listening to “Sonoran Jazz”. This book is like a great big musical composition where each character’s story is a verse, and the choruses are the grizzly murders that plague Santa Teresa.
