I don't know why it is taking me so long to read this book. My theory is that the chapters are too short, which cut down the story considerably, which means that there are too wide a difference between one chapter and the next, which makes it very disjointed and hard to follow

I am 67% of the way through with this book and I have been reading it for THREE MONTHS. I have never struggled so badly with a book before, I thought it might be the translation so I changed to Lombardo and although my reading pace has (slightly) picked up, I think my real beef is with the text itself. This poem consists mainly of lists, little plot development, and godly disputes that result in predictable outcomes.

The synopsis for this book literally spoils the book
