Only realizing now that I was reading novels-in-verse before reading novels-in-verse lol

This little slice of life series is like a nice break from college hw :)

I might continue reading the rest of the series if it appeals to me more

I wanted to get this book done before I started taking 200-level CS classes, but since I’m already in the fall, I might as well tuck this book away from my current reads

It was very informative though; serves as a nice refresher to Python if anyone is in need of a crash course resource

This short story was just as beautiful as I first read it back in grade school

Rue’s poetic prose is absolutely fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Finally came out of this rabbit hole of a book after a few days straight, and I honestly feel like hopping back in again! This really made me appreciate the films more. I just wish they made another manga adaptation to the second film; It would’ve been really cool to see the “Looking Glass” in Jun Abe’s artstyle

These two have been my all-time favorite duo in the films (especially the second one), so seeing them bond and be wholesome together in the manga makes me smile 😊

The most striking thing to me is the art style. It takes the original source material and adds its own magical, whimsical, “wonderland-y” taste to it, paying justice not to just the film, but pays homage to Tim Burton’s aesthetic. Really feels like a “Tim Burton” manga then a “Disney” manga 😊

The pacing in this one seems a bit rushed for me. I understand that it’s referring to solely the film as its source of adaptation, but I think it would be nice to expand and add in extra details that can make the manga pop out even more. Regardless, this hasn’t hindered my reading experience one bit :] I’m a fast manga/comic reader, so I’m trying to read slower to remedy that
