Completely charmed and obsessed so far

I'm beginning to be a little annoyed by books where the worldbuilding is explained in the pov character's inner monologue, but I think I must look past this

Red of Overly Sarcastic productions said recently "sometimes a story won't make you feel exactly the same way it did years ago when you first encountered it and that just means it already changed your life and now it has done its work" and I really needed to hear that. The authors are grabbing thoughts from all different historical time periods and incorporating them into a system using the sole criteria of whether or not they like them but that's just what classical scholars do really, I can't complain
