Utterly beautiful concepts and prose

TAKING A BREAK on this, going to finish Red Country and start the Way of Kings, this book is just so freakin dense.

The 'Dragons' (or Dragon People i forget) chapter was great. It had a great buildup and a half decent payoff. The section I'm on right now (the last of the book) is honestly kind of meh. Quickly trying to tie up characters which feels like filler. Great book but I'm understanding why people think this is the worst.

Definenlty a change of pace compared to the heroes, however the revelation of Lambs character, along with seeing golden again (this is what has happened around 70% ) completely changed my mind on this book. Love seeing Cosca and Friendly, looking forward to see if Shivers catches up to Lamb. Dragon people arc is kinda boring, idgaf ab Shy tbh

After C&P, I felt like I had some experience with the russian names and Dostoevsky's characterization, however the brothers K is kind of overwhelming me with characters. Speaking on this, I am going to use a note card as a bookmark with names. I would also like to hear pronunciations of the names because I'm getting caught up on trying to mentally pronounce them. Overall, setting up to be an exciting adventure

Bought this audio book when I started back to Amazon in Fall of 2024. Finished Dark Tower at work so I when back in the backlog and so glad that I did. Elegant returns from the first law trilogy paired with an absolutely gripping intro has me excited to continue the series and makes me wonder why I stopped in the first place.

Raskols character development feels eerily realistic

Insanely gripping. Amazing character development overall, Raskolnikovs emotional state in part two was amazing to witness as well as the authors ability to impart these strange emotional states onto you

After the wizard of oz palace in the end of wizard and glass, our characters find themselves farther in midworld. So far, we explore the “Calla” and their issues with generational wolves, as well as toedash (or was it Toedash?) Sticking to the western theme of the flashback which was DT 4.

Immaculate world building, Robert Jordan’s ability to create a scene is unparalleled, especially for high fantasy. 8 character party already formed, excited for the future!
