The nostalgia in this book is STRONG. I can taste my mother's cooking and hear the click clack "3 crack, 2 bam" of the mah-jongg game going on in the next room. So unapologetically Jewish. Much love to the author, since apparently we grew up in the same house.

About two-thirds of the way through the audio. Fascinating, riveting, thought-provoking. Audio is HIGHLY recommended.

At 60% of the audio book. Am sobbing.

Haven't cracked it yet, but have it hear, ready for a Read-a-long.

I may need to put this down for a bit. I want to read it, but it's tough right now.

Loving this - a great story with strong female characters who aren't afraid to stand up and compete with boys.

I love Marks's writing so much - she paints beautiful pictures in each scene and I feel like every one of my senses is completely immersed in the story.
