my goodreads account is a mess. hopefully i revamp in summer break but in the meantime... this isn't me...

no white boy is doing all of this🫩🫩
and if they did, it would piss me off

let's just say i really really hope this book turns itself around, because right now it's reading like yet another wattpad-esque muslim girl falls in love with this One White Boy who's just so Different for some reason. or a maladaptive daydreaming plotline with yourself as the mc except you develop it out just enough for you to not feel like you're self-inserting. no offence 💕

a truly eye-twitching account

i don't like his tone.

history is calling and i am picking up the phone ☎️

the explanation of noi lore feels like reading islam fanfiction

robin hobb may be single handedly saving my reading challenge after i didn't pick up a book for 3 months

the prose draws me in; jumaana abdu has somehow managed to extract prosal rhythm and lyricism from the english language

sighhhhss... i'm not one to leave things unfinished,,,......

HE'S TWENTY SIX????????????????/// brother the grave is calling stay away from my 21yo minor

pinpointed the exact passage of brainwashing like wallahi i hate this man but like. This is a public humiliation ritual

"arin is consumed by what he loves. if asked, he would get on his knees and let it kill him. he withholds his heart out of self-preservation."

like man okay if you insist

i can feel myself actively being taken in like i can SEE the brainwashing happening in real time. up until now i was genuinely disgusted at their relationship like he is literally stabbing you every three seconds and threatening to kill your friends and keeping you trapped. but the second the narrative pushes That Trope that i cannot speak i'm suddenly making excuses FREE ME PLEASEEEEE

gee i hope this cold calloused violent silver-haired prince who burned her kingdom to the ground and killed her entire family and has continued killing people isn't being set up to be her love interest with a Really Good Reason to be doing all that and actually has a Soft Heart

staying up to date with what the masses are glazing these days and gotta say, it's really not looking good so far

everybody gotta go. genuinely. what is WRONG WITH EVERYONE this entire cast spans the contents of the dsm-5 methinks

highkenuinely miss dantes from the start of the book. give me my young talented innocent joyous sailor back

the narrative is becoming increasingly dramatic but i am fully lured in. i do not complain

things are finally starting to look up,, which makes one wonder why there’s so much of the darn book left

im so stressed already i hate it here AARGRGRHHHH

i have no idea how i feel about this book

he's so real & also missing an autism diagnosis
