So far, the stories I was most excited for were not what I expected. The Tessa and Will short story left a lot to be desired, and so did the James and Cordelia story. BUT I do think Clare has explored those couples so much that there wasn’t a whole lot to add.

Who The Wolf Loves, however, has me in a chokehold. Luke’s back story is heart wrenching, and the way he loves Jocelyn through everything is so beautiful

Loving this book after reading “Woman Who Run With The Wolves”.

Loving this book so far! It offers a window into my mother and grandmother’s generations from a psychological, spiritual, and story telling perspective.

It is white centric, and has thus far inspired me to look for other authors who write about similar topics, such as women’s journeys through life and story, from a more intersectional perspective.

Mr. Rochester is my arch nemesis

I hate Mr. Rochester. Every time he opens his mouth I blanch.

I absolutely adore both Arther and Lucy so far. Linus is growing on me.

The author is definitely a sensationalist who has some interesting takes on Shakespeare’s works and ever present influence on media. There are a few excerpts that give me the “ick”.

The foreshadowing in chapter 10 hits different though.

The book opens with a captivating description of Patroclus’ childhood. It does not subtract from the plot, yet adds necessary context for his dynamic relationship with Achilles. By Chapter 9, the author foreshadows the tragedy that consumes this myth in somewhat obvious, yet simultaneously clever ways.
