Read “Signs and Symbols” by Nabokov.

Just read “Apartment Hotel” by Sally Benson. An interesting read that reveals a house wife’s desire to have a little adventure of a “breath of fresh air.”

I already know who the killer is, but I’m excited to see how Christie sets the story up.

The relationships are building. I also like the moment where Nathalie starts trusting the group more. It was kind of on the nose, but I appreciated the metaphor.

I really like how the characters are developing. At first, I thought the tension between Anna and Nathalie felt forced, but now I enjoy how their dynamic is evolving as they spend more time together. It is clear Anna intimidates Nathalie, but Nathalie is slowly gaining confidence as she creates their costumes.

An engaging beginning. The setting and early tension between characters really pull you in.
