More interesting story than I expected

Long intro. A lot of pop culture references and very rpg game/ DnD-esque. Pretty entertaining overall.
ICE agent as the first villain introduced is pretty funny.

So much subtext in the conversations makes it a slow read but still fun

So far the message is good with its Buddhist “have no material desires” point of view about commercialism and self improvement. Clearly it’s about being true to yourself and doing what you want to because you want to and not because someone else wants you to or you think it’s right. I am slightly jaded by the language though. It feels as though it’s trying too hard to be edgy and not a self improvement bk.
