Finally reading this book after its been on my tbr for over 2 years (at least according to goodreads, I swear it’s been longer than that though…)
Also I made the exact same arguments about octopus intelligence in my high school senior research project and am feeling very proud of myself right now haha

This book is going to take forever to finish. Not because I’m a slow reader, or because it’s long, but because there’s only so much UTTER BULLSHIT I can handle at once

It has become increasingly clear to me that I actually hate this book and everyone in it. Do I dnf and stop wasting my time? Or try to keep reading so I can be a fully informed hater? Decisions decisions

The whole pen thing is really pissing me off actually. Not relevant to the chapter i’m on but I can’t stop thinking about it.

Reading this to see if my knee jerk reaction that it can’t possibly be that good was right or not. Maybe I just like disliking popular things, who can say. (I can say, after I finish reading this)
