Interesting dynamic between the detectives Benton-Smith and Piers . The interactions when Piers starting getting mad at him and yelled "OH, anythings possible! Its possible that Tallulah Clutton did it because shes been having an affair with Dupayne and he was dumping her for Murial Godby! For God's sake, let's stay in the real world !" Had me absolutely losing it . What a good laugh

Muriel is alot like me when it comes to social anxiety and fears . Tally trying to control the narrative here for how Muriel should be talking to the investigators strikes me as extremely weird and odd. Especially since shes trying to hide the family dispute over the property. There was alot of money to be gained or loss depending in how the dispute turned out.

Kate Miskin the Investigation Detective has a strong head on her shoulders . Was interesting to see her look at her goals and her life as she watched her coworkes all move on and up . A hint at her maybe getting promoted which would be interesting to see if it happens at some point. She also has a good moral compass about not sleeping with her handsome coworkers . Its a virtue Kate , good job .

I like how Tally took in the old Tomcat with the squashed square face and eyes set asymmetrical on his face . That was such a cute read and I giggled at it XD Finally moving onto book two

Muriel Godby is a character I have found that has been remarkably relevant. The depression and abuse she went through along with having scares ties to people in her life and extreme social awkwardness on top of bullying and not having much luck in her places of employment. The way her character was written was just wow!

Learned a couple of new words . Kinda fun to try and speak with an English accent while reading out loud lol .

Really liked the scene with the butterflies and flowers growing out of the samurai armor !

So crazy how there is fake past and alot of make believe concepts. You never know who or what is real. This book is a trip. I learned kind of what taffetas fabric is today so that's pretty cool

Might have met the whole group now . Love to voice the characters . Learned a new instrument that was "like a tuba on a diet" loved the way it was described.

Priscilla is caught in multiple love triangles . Probably hurts MC knowing his ex was getting played by the man she married . Was fun reading this out loud my friend and bf and I laughed so hard when he found Lori . The build up was intense XD

Spiders that cause instant death flying off the wall at the main character .. I can relate . The interrogation definitely put a spin on things . Wonder where it will lead. I feel bad for the Lemuese guy XD lol he's like don't bring cops back into my shop again!

Learned four new words ! inveigle is a fun one :)

Holy cow the word salad . I learned the word Kabbalistic ... Kind of lol.

I kind of get the gist now on what morpheme words are . Very interesting . Love the inside thoughts of our main character he is so inquisitive!

Page 72 had an interesting spelling error (A bulking armoire gleamed with the dark iridescence of butterfly wings in a >twilit< jungle) nice reading before bed .

There's a lot of history so far I'm unfamiliar with and names I don't recognize. But I am learning a lot .
