Stas is 22% done with The Skeleton Faerie (Children of the Death Gods Book 1)

This was a DNF for me, the writing style felt very middle grade and like an angsty teen boy's inner monologue. The world building was clunky but the horror descriptions were freaky. Also did not enjoy the rotating POVs, they didn't mesh well and their voices had that same millenial teen snark I don't enjoy reading. Someone else might like it better!

Im sorry I'm DNFing this one 😭 i just cant with the Super Special Teenagers and the very confusing worldbuilding going on. Truly thought we were in a magic everywhere mystical fantasy world only to randomly be in a suburban environment with movie theaters? The tone is so confusing and the lore drops are inconsistent and the rotating POV doesnt help.
