The reading experience of this book is very similar to Yellowface by R.F. Kuang— in that everytime you think your jaw can’t get closer to the floor, the narrator does something even more batshit crazy

Pretty sure I’m gonna DNF this one… way too much “she’s not like other girls”/“she’s a frail 110 pounds but doesn’t care how she looks and doesn’t take crap from anyone” vibes going on

Cutesie romance book, save me from this generational reading slump, I BEG

I was promised heartwrenching but frankly I’m just bored… buttttt I feel like I have to finish it because it’s so short.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a more unlikeable, hypocritical, profoundly hoop-jumping character than June. This book is insane in the best way.
