the whole narrative of girls glorifying crime is so interesting and the normalcy of tumblr, looking back on it now it’s no wonder there was a pipeline to more grizzly things than just reading creepypasta

ants crawl in a glittering black thread well the imagery is fabulous

wowie ‘like a brick of vomit in her stomach’ this is a very clever book, speaking on teenage girls’ obsession with crime, horror and creepy pastas is really clever. it’s captured so well i felt like i was 14 again - the bitchiness and hostility it’s so clever!

love the scene setting feels perfect for this time of year and being in the midst of studying !!

im enjoying it so far! really fun new way of writing a book, i really thought it was based off a true story im finding it really engaging

it’s so so good i love it when science is written like a story hopefully then it’s a bit more engaging for people essentially following the storyline of al a fisherman who shifted his work to tagging tuna as opposed to excessively hunting it !

im loving it!! so naughty i love having multiples books in tandem but this one is nonfiction so id it doesn’t really count honestly, it’s really sobering i am seeing first hand how fast the ocean is being destroyed but this really goes to show how suddenly humans can have such an immense impact on entire populations. tuna are huge and yet we can still somehow manage to wipe them out

i didn’t quite realise this was biblical, also makes me realise how little i know about the bible haha but it’s interesting so far very much slow life, could be considered mundane think you have to really think about if you know what i mean

reading because my mum told me to ! not my usual style but it’s actually pretty good and honestly makes you realise how quick we are to judge women and not always consider what involvement a partner may have. i say no more!

im enjoying it so far, im really appreciating this feeling of dry, arid america and there is some great descriptive sentences

incredibly visceral i’m grimacing at some of the passages but i suppose that’s a sign of a good book!

i’m really enjoying it and honestly flying through it (probably from all the long train journeys)

so many good quotes and love the talk about fear it’s very fitting!!

i cannot stop reading it’s brilliant and can’t believe i haven’t read it before!!
